Your 6-Day Northern Safari

Day 1

Arrival & Transfer to Arusha

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Meet your Katunzi Adventure guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha for overnight stay and safari briefing.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees. Enjoy an afternoon game drive. Overnight at a lodge/camp near Tarangire.

Day 3

Tarangire to Karatu via Mto wa Mbu

Morning game drive in Tarangire. Afterwards, drive towards Karatu town, potentially stopping at Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural experience (optional). Overnight in Karatu.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Full day exploring the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Descend into this wildlife haven for incredible game viewing opportunities. Picnic lunch inside the crater. Ascend in the late afternoon and return to Karatu for overnight.

Day 5

Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park

Drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a game drive, searching for its famous tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and diverse birdlife. Overnight near Lake Manyara or back in Karatu/Mto wa Mbu.

Day 6

Return to Arusha & Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have time for last-minute shopping before being transferred to JRO for your departure.
