Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your Katunzi Adventure representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in and receive a briefing about your upcoming safari adventure. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Enjoy a scenic drive and enter the park for your first game drive. Lake Manyara is renowned for its stunning scenery, rich birdlife, and unique tree-climbing lions. Explore the diverse habitats, from the lakeside forests to the acacia woodlands. Overnight at a lodge or camp near Lake Manyara.

Day 3

Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Today, journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area highlands, offering spectacular views. Enjoy an afternoon game drive as you enter the vast Serengeti plains, heading towards your accommodation in the central Seronera region, known for its abundant wildlife. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 4

Full Day Serengeti Exploration

Dedicate the entire day to exploring the Serengeti's endless plains. Depending on the time of year and the movement of the Great Migration, your guide will lead you to the best areas for wildlife viewing. Search for the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino) and countless other species. Enjoy picnic lunch amidst the wilderness. Overnight in the Serengeti.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti. After lunch, begin your drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You may opt for a visit to Olduvai Gorge (optional extra), a significant paleoanthropological site. Arrive at your lodge situated on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking views. Overnight on the Crater Rim.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Descend early morning into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor is a haven for wildlife, boasting one of the highest concentrations of animals in Africa. Enjoy a full day of game viewing within this natural amphitheater, including a picnic lunch by a hippo pool. Ascend in the late afternoon and return to your crater rim lodge. Overnight on the Crater Rim.

Day 7

Ngorongoro to Lake Natron

After breakfast, drive north towards the remote and dramatic landscape of Lake Natron. This soda lake is a major breeding ground for Lesser Flamingos. The journey offers unique scenery, passing Maasai villages. Explore the area around Lake Natron, perhaps visiting nearby waterfalls. Overnight at a camp or lodge near Lake Natron.

Day 8

Lake Natron Activities & Return to Arusha

Engage in morning activities around Lake Natron, such as walking near the lake shore (observing flamingos from a safe distance) or perhaps an optional hike to view Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. Afterwards, begin the drive back to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon/evening. Overnight in Arusha.

Day 9

Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy some leisure time in Arusha for souvenir shopping or relaxing. Later, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
